How the signals are defined
Breakout
Daily close above the highest price of the previous 30 days, on at least 2× the median daily volume.
Oversold
Daily RSI(14) below 30: the price fell fast compared with its recent moves.
Overbought
Daily RSI(14) above 70: the price rose fast compared with its recent moves.
Volume spike
The day’s trading volume is at least 5× the median daily volume of the previous 30 days.
Accumulation
The 14-day price range is among the narrowest 20% of the past year while the 7-day average volume is at least 20% above the 30 days before.
Rebound
The price fell at least 30% from its 30-day high, then rose at least 10% from the 30-day low on at least median volume.
Golden cross
The 50-day moving average crossed above the 200-day moving average in the last 3 days.
Death cross
The 50-day moving average crossed below the 200-day moving average in the last 3 days.
Hot funding
Perpetual funding at or above 0.05% per 8 hours (weighted by open interest): longs pay shorts a high premium.
Short squeeze risk
Funding at or below −0.01% per 8 hours (shorts pay longs) while the price is up over 24 hours.
Liquidation cascade
At least $10M of futures positions liquidated within one hour.
Exchange inflow
At least $100M of net large transfers to exchanges in 24 hours (deposits minus withdrawals, from our whale feed).
