LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to streamline connections between different blockchain networks. It achieves this through an efficient on-chain light node implementation. Instead of storing all block headers sequentially, LayerZero utilizes decentralized oracles to provide block headers on demand. LayerZero's architecture features User Application (UA) configurable on-chain endpoints that run an Ultra-Light Node (ULN).
