LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to streamline connections between different blockchain networks. It achieves this through an efficient on-chain light node implementation. Instead of storing all block headers sequentially, LayerZero utilizes decentralized oracles to provide block headers on demand. LayerZero's architecture features User Application (UA) configurable on-chain endpoints that run an Ultra-Light Node (ULN). Message transfer between chains relies on two key parties: the Oracle and the Relayer. When a UA sends a message from chain A to chain B, the message goes through the endpoint on chain A.
