What is Curve DAO Token (CRV)?
Curve is a leading decentralized exchange (DEX) using an automated market maker (AMM) model, specializing in stablecoin trading. Its platform enables the creation of numerous liquidity pools and is governed by a DAO. Users benefit from its unique formulas, offering high liquidity, minimal slippage, and low-cost transactions for ERC-20 tokens. The Curve DAO token (CRV) primarily incentivizes liquidity providers and encourages community participation in governance. CRV is used for voting, staking, and boosting rewards, all requiring the locking of CRV to obtain veCRV. Staking veCRV earns a share of trading fees. Boosting allows liquidity providers to increase their rewards up to 2.5x. Voting allows veCRV holders to participate in DAO proposals and pool parameter decisions.
