What is zkCRO (ZKCRO)?

zkCRO is the revenue token for Cronos zkEVM, backed by CRO staking. It generates income from transaction fees on the Cronos PoS chain. The exchange rate between zkCRO and CRO fluctuates based on staking rewards; it increases with accumulated rewards and may decrease if CRO staking faces penalties. Users acquire zkCRO on Cronos zkEVM by depositing Ethereum CRO via the Cronos zkEVM Bridge. This CRO is staked, and equivalent zkCRO is issued to the user's Cronos zkEVM wallet.
