Syscoin is a Bitcoin Layer 2 (L2) solution that is merge-mined with Bitcoin. It offers a modular Proof-of-Work blockchain system that enables rollup technology to be integrated with Bitcoin’s network. By providing a scalable data availability layer, Syscoin allows other layers such as EVM or AltVM to securely and efficiently connect to Bitcoin. Its foundation consists of a dual-chain Layer 1: the core is the native Syscoin UTXO (Unspent Transaction Output) blockchain, which ensures data availability and finality. Alongside the UTXO chain is the NEVM (Network-Enhanced Virtual Machine), an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible chain that is also merge-mined with the UTXO chain and shares its finality.
As of now, Syscoin is trading at 0.059177 USD, with a 24-hour trading volume of approximately 355.20K USD. The SYS to USD price is updated in real time.
