Apu Apustaja (APU) is a meme-based cryptocurrency built on the Ethereum, Base, and Solana blockchains. It's inspired by the popular internet meme Apu, also called Peepo or Helper. This character, a Spurdo Spärde-style derivative of Pepe the Frog, originated on the Finnish imageboard Ylilauta and later became a hit on 4chan, where it's known as "Helper." The "apu apustaja" phrase first appeared on Ylilauta in January 2016. Its popularity surged after a Facebook page was created on January 14th, 2016. An anonymous 4chan user introduced a "food help helper" Pepe variant on March 25th, immediately catching the attention of the /b/ board.
