The XRPL DEX is a decentralized exchange built into the XRP Ledger, a public blockchain that began operating in 2012. Its order book has been part of the protocol since the network's early years, allowing users to place offers to trade XRP and issued tokens directly on the ledger without a central intermediary.
The ledger is maintained by a network of independent validators and open-source developers, and Ripple has been a major contributor to its development. Since 2024, the protocol has also supported automated market maker (AMM) pools alongside the order book. The DEX is used by traders and token issuers who want on-chain trading and can be accessed through XRPL-compatible wallets and interfaces.
The CMC Score combines public data — traffic, app ratings, security record, age, community and market size — with users' reviews. Missing data is skipped rather than counted as zero, and the less is known about a company, the closer its score stays to the middle of the scale.
