About Wrapped MistCoin

Mistcoin, launched on November 3rd, 2015, was the initial version or blueprint for the ERC-20 token standard. Its release alongside the Ethereum Mist Wallet's token system, spearheaded by Fabian Vogelsteller and Alex Van de Sande, triggered a wave of identical token contracts, ultimately inspiring Fabian to design and propose the ERC-20 standard. Wrapped MistCoin (WMC) was later created to facilitate the seamless trading and utilization of Mistcoin (MC) by using a conventional procedure for older assets in Ethereum. Anyone can wrap and deploy WMC/MC at a 1:1 ratio at any moment.
