Sui is a decentralized, permissionless smart contract platform designed for low-latency asset management. It leverages the Move programming language to define assets as objects that can be owned by an address. Move programs specify operations on these typed objects, including custom rules for creating assets, transferring them between owners, and modifying them. Maintained by a permissionless group of authorities similar to validators or miners, Sui uses a Byzantine consistent broadcast protocol among these authorities to ensure the safety of common asset operations.
