Sonic is a layer-1 blockchain platform built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) by Sonic Labs, formerly recognized for the Fantom network. Key features include: rapid transaction processing with speeds up to 10,000 TPS and a finality time of around 720 milliseconds, surpassing many other blockchains like Solana, which typically reaches finality in about 12.8 seconds.
