Qtum is an open-source blockchain platform called the Qtum Chain, compatible with Ethereum's EVM and using Proof-of-Stake. It values decentralization, trustlessness, permissionless access, and community. The native cryptocurrency, QTUM, has a total supply of 107,822,406. Developers can use the platform to create decentralized applications. Key features include an easily upgradable blockchain and a Mutualized Proof-of-Stake (MPoS) consensus mechanism that avoids attacks. Qtum offers various wallets for storing QTUM and QRC20 tokens, supporting staking for rewards and governance.
