About PEPECOIN

PepeCoin, created in 2016 by experienced crypto enthusiasts, initially operated on its own Proof-of-Work blockchain. Following controversy around the Pepe the Frog meme after the 2016 election, some exchanges renamed it "Memetic." To avoid arbitrary ticker changes and leverage Ethereum's smart contracts and DEXes, PepeCoin migrated to the Ethereum blockchain. Since then, the original team has launched several projects, including PepeOS (a retro-style web app), Pepe Paint (a draw-to-NFT platform), Kek Bot (an AI trading engine), BasedAI (a Layer 1 blockchain for zk-LLMs), and Pepe Messenger (a decentralized, encrypted messaging app).
