EURe is the euro e-money token developed by Monerium EMI, a licensed and regulated entity within the EEA and the UK. E-money serves as a digital alternative to cash, fully backed 1:1 by high-quality liquid assets and redeemable at any time upon request. Monerium EMI facilitates the transfer of euros between bank accounts worldwide and blockchain wallets by creating a unique bank account number associated with your wallet. Monerium is the first company authorized to issue e-money tokens under current European regulations, specifically Directive 2009/110/EC. The e-money is over-collateralized with user funds and the issuer's reserve capital, which are protected in segregated assets such as high-grade securities, bank deposits, or both.
