About Hop Protocol

The Hop Protocol offers a scalable rollup-to-rollup General Token Bridge through a dual strategy: First, it creates a cross-network bridge token that can be transferred quickly and cost-effectively between rollups or claimed on layer-1 for its underlying asset. Second, it employs Automated Market Makers to swap between each bridge token and its corresponding Canonical Token on each rollup, enabling dynamic liquidity pricing and encouraging liquidity rebalancing across the network. This combined approach allows users to efficiently and securely exchange Canonical Tokens across different layer-2 solutions, using the bridge token as an intermediary asset.
