About GateToken

GT stands for Gatechain Token, serving as the primary currency of Gatechain's public blockchain and supporting its infrastructure. As the network's main fuel, GT facilitates transaction fees on Gatechain. The project encourages GT holders to contribute to network stability through Proof of Stake (PoS) staking. GT can only be obtained via Gate.io, which distributed 300 million GT to users during the initial launch of POINT. The distribution began at UTC 4:00 on April 8, 2019. No ICO or private sales were conducted. In addition to providing a decentralized exchange (DEX), Gatechain addresses two critical safety issues: how to recover stolen digital assets and how to locate lost private keys.
