About FONSmartChain

FON Smart Chain is a new public blockchain utilizing a Proof of Stake (APoS) consensus mechanism with 21 active validators. This design allows for fast block creation and low transaction fees. Validators are chosen based on the amount of staked tokens. Security is maintained through double-signature detection and slashing mechanisms, ensuring stability and finality. In addition to the active validators, there will be candidate validators (e.g., 20 inactive validators) who will participate in block generation and fee collection, but with less frequent chances to be elected into the active set.
