Degen Zoo, created by the founder of DAO Maker, is a novel platform for community-led animal NFT incubations. Their initial collection, "Price of Extinction," is backed by the $DZOO token. The game mirrors real-world financial incentives driving animal extinctions by using token economics to reduce token supply through NFT minting. Players can accrue tokens by hatching and leveling up animals, releasing tokens locked within them upon sacrificing their NFTs. The game operates trustlessly on the blockchain with immutable dynamics, incentivizing players to "eliminate" animals. A 2.5% NFT royalty fee on each trade is allocated to animal charities and NGOs.
