That is being done by bringing together the technology of blockchain and more traditional technology created to verify a user’s identity. First of all, the goal is to create a unified identity confirmation framework, saving a lot of users’ time on passing the KYC (Know Your Customer), registering the usernames and passwords and so on. What Civic employs is what they call Reusable KYC solutions. The personal data uploaded by the user is stored only on his mobile device, the data is submitted a grand total of one time. The companies and institutions engaging with their users will be able to easily verify the personal info of their customers by using Civic, which also would limit any unnecessary request for information.
