Blocknet is decentralized community-managed project with open source that bridges the gap between different blockchains, markets and communities.
The project is based on the transparency and maintaining the high level of decentralization.
These principles are applicable both to protocol and community. Blocknet is a unique project as it has neither fund nor managing company. Instead, Blocknet is ruled by its interested parties. It means that the developers, tokens owners, Service Node operators and other parties involved in this blockchain can make decisions together. This self-governance is provided through the Superblock mechanism and open communication in Discord. So everyone can take part and contribute to Blocknet thanks to the project’s open source: from development to content, instruments and services creation.
Blocknet XBridge protocol — is a peer-to-peer protocol based on nodes of different blockchains. It allows to transfer data between blockchains and provides great opportunities for community.
Blocknet is working on this technology since 2014 and aims to become a real Internet of Blockchains connecting different blockchains in one global network. For example, Blocknet provides its users with the opportunity to develop their projects on the basis of one blockchain with the access to the functions of another one. The team creates the entire infrastructure that aims to provide the services for decentralized applications (dApps) working on different blockchains.
Another key feature of the project is Block DX exchange. This is decentralized exchange with high liquidity using BIP65 atomic swaps providing free trading and listing.
