YUSD is an over-collateralized USD-pegged stablecoin issued by Yeti Finance. It employs multiple mechanisms to maintain its price stability and peg at $1. Users can mint YUSD by depositing collateral on Yeti Finance. The system allows redemptions of YUSD for collateral at face value (1 YUSD for $1) and permits minting of YUSD against USDC at a minimum collateral ratio of 103%, creating arbitrage opportunities that establish a price floor and ceiling. Yeti Finance is a sophisticated decentralized borrowing platform built on Avalanche, enabling users to borrow up to 11x against primary assets like WETH, staked assets such as Liquid AVAX, LP tokens, and up to 21x on yield-bearing stablecoins—all at a 0% interest rate.
