Aave is a decentralized platform for lending and borrowing cryptocurrencies. Launched in January 2020, it enables users to lend, borrow, and earn interest on digital assets without intermediary involvement. When lending on the platform, users earn interest, and borrowers pay interest. Aave operates across Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche blockchains using smart contracts managed by a decentralized network of computers. Its native token is AAVE.
