About Robinhood

Robinhood Markets, Inc. is a US-based financial services company that operates the Robinhood app and website, robinhood.com, for trading and investing. Founded in 2013 by Vladimir Tenev and Baiju Bhatt and headquartered in Menlo Park, California, the company launched its brokerage app in 2015 and listed its shares on the Nasdaq in 2021. Tenev serves as chief executive officer.

The platform offers trading in stocks, exchange-traded funds, options and cryptocurrencies, along with cash accounts and retirement accounts. It is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and is a member of FINRA and SIPC. The service is aimed at individual retail investors and is available to customers in the United States, subject to state and product availability.
