eToro is an online multi-asset trading and investment platform that offers social trading features, allowing users to view and copy the trades of other investors. Users can trade stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, commodities, currencies and CFDs. The company was founded in 2007 in Israel and is headquartered in Tel Aviv.
eToro was co-founded by Yoni Assia, Ronen Assia and David Ring. The platform is supervised by financial regulators in several jurisdictions and is aimed at retail investors who want to trade across asset classes or follow the strategies of other users. Leveraged CFD products are offered only in some regions.
The CMC Score combines public data — traffic, app ratings, security record, age, community and market size — with users' reviews. Missing data is skipped rather than counted as zero, and the less is known about a company, the closer its score stays to the middle of the scale.
