The TrueChain project is focused on improving the functionality of smart contracts and decentralized applications. The developers propose an original hybrid consensus mechanism that makes blockchain technology more efficient from the position of scaling and at the same time preserves the initial decentralization of the network. POW and POS provide decentralization of the system, however, reduce network traffic capacity due to data confirmation by all its participants. Alternatives in the form of delegated modifications with a limited number of elective nodes improve scaling. To eliminate such an imbalance, TrueChain developers propose an original Minerva consensus mechanism that combines PBFT and POW - a modified problem-solving protocol and an improved version of Proof-of-Work. Main aspects of TrueChain protocol: information processing and its recording in the blockchain is performed by delegated PBFT; сontrol over the activities and selection of confirming nodes is carried out using the POW protocol with the fruitchain technology integrated into it.
