The informational age made the data, oftentimes personal data of the people around the world the most valuable resource: how it’s used and for what purpose determines whether or not certain corporations make hundreds of millions, if not the billions of dollars needed to sustain their business, and it's also the main currency used by the governments around the world to deal with each other, or start and end conflicts in the twenty first century. The Knekted project is about taking the control over that information out of the hands of possibly malicious actors that would try and misuse the information given to them by the unknowing public. The whole premise behind the project is that there exists a market that is simply not at all concerned with where they are getting their main value resource from (that's us, regular users). Disrupting that market is what the stated goal of the project is at this point. By storing the information of the Internet users on the distributed ledger that is backed by an unhackable consensus algorithm, the system is completely safe and secure.
