Global Social Chain is, as is evident from the name itself, a social networking platform that operates on the framework of the blockchain technology. The move itself is natural enough, since even though the business of the largest Internet companies is definitely social in nature (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram go without saying, with even sites like Reddit and YouTube becoming nearly social networks) - the companies have not shown the capability to handle the personal information of their clients well, nor respond in a very quick and convenient way to the challenges presented by the ever-changing markets. The Global Social Chain aims to solve these and many more disadvantages of traditional social networks: through using blocks to store the information, complete privacy and unhackability guaranteed by the developers’ team. Also, by storing all personal data in the decentralized, distributed ledger, there is a zero risk that even in the event of a hack attack, the overwhelming majority of users could be affected.
