The messenger platforms and applications are, at this point, as ubiquitous as anything else in the world. No person currently holding a smartphone could avoid using at least some form of the messenger, be it a simple phone-company-created SMS system, the Facebook messenger Whatsapp or whatever other application would be popular at the moment. However, what Birdchain developers have recognized is the fact that all of these messengers have a single, but a monumental flaw: their very structure allows them to be easily hacked, no matter how encrypted they attempt to be. On top of that, by being a centralized system, those messengers at the very least allow the platforms building a complete access to all saved and stored messages that they retain. There is no need to talk additionally about the information leak scandals surrounding Facebook, Microsoft and other technological giants around the world. But using blockchain technology’s amazing security, unhackability and immense speed of transactions, those problems could be effectively solved, which is what Birdchain aims to do.
